12in12

Build and ship 12 products in 12 months

challenge community building accountability

Overview

12in12 is a challenge I created: build and ship 12 products in 12 months.

Not 12 perfect products. Not 12 funded startups. Just 12 things that exist in the world that didn’t exist before.

Why This Exists

Most people have ideas. Few people ship.

The gap isn’t skill — it’s momentum. People wait for the perfect idea, the perfect time, the perfect tech stack. And they never start.

12in12 forces the opposite: ship first, learn later.

How It Works

  • One product per month. No exceptions.
  • 30-day sprints. Ideation → build → launch.
  • Community accountability. You’re not doing this alone.
  • Public portfolio. Everything you ship goes on display.

The Philosophy

Parkinson’s Law: work expands to fill the time available. Give yourself a year to build one thing, it takes a year. Give yourself a month, it takes a month.

The constraint is the feature.

Who It’s For

  • Developers who want to break out of tutorial hell
  • Makers who have ideas but don’t ship
  • Anyone who wants to build the muscle of finishing things

You don’t need to be technical. You don’t need funding. You just need to commit.

What I’m Learning

Running this challenge myself:

  • Shipping fast beats shipping perfect
  • Small, focused products beat ambitious vaporware
  • The community keeps you honest

Current Status

Active challenge. Building alongside other makers. Documenting everything.
